Community service is part of the Kiwanis Club of Jackson's mission. Here are just some of the ways members reach out.
The Kiwanis Club sponsors the Aktion Club, which is the only service club for adults who have physical and/or mental disabilities. It meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays each month, from 3-4:30p.m. at the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene, 3905 Clinton Rd. Members must be 18 years or older. Their parents/guardians are welcome. This club has nearly 30 members. How can you get involved? Learn more here.
Feeding Local Families
The Kiwanis Club of Jackson helps feed local families. Members partner with local schools to package thousands of meals, many of which go to local food pantries.
Serving at the Shelter Twice a year, club members, with Key Clubbers, finance and serve lunch at the Interfaith Shelter.
Each November and December, Kiwanians ring the bells for the Salvation Army. The club also supports the Salvation Army financially.
